PROJECT CONTROLS & RISK ANALYSIS TRAINING

Crescent is able to offer training in Pertmaster and Primavera software using its own resources or will manage training in other/client venues. The standard courses offered by Crescent are:

  • 1 and 2 day Project Risk Analysis using Pertmaster Project Risk software
  • 2 day Primavera SureTrak Project Manager and
  • 2-3 day Primavera Project Planner P3 (depending on scope)

PROJECT RISK ANALYSIS USING PERTMASTER PROJECT RISK

Crescent provides one and two day training courses on risk analysis.
Bring projects in on time and budget using project risk analysis.
This course is aimed those who can plan a project and would like to progress further to modelling project risk. The course provides "hands-on" exercises for quantitative risk modelling in Pertmaster Project Risk, including:

  • Schedule risk analysis theory
  • Using three-point estimates
  • Using alternate distributions
  • Correlation
  • Probabilistic branching and events
  • Criticality and cruciality
  • Interpreting the results
  • Integrated cost and time risk analysis
  • Integration with Primavera (P3/SureTrak & P3e/TeamPlay) and MS
  • Project software

Start: 09.00 Finish: 17.00 with time to address additional topics as required.

Two day courses are recommended to provide thorough coverage of the software and its use with other planning software. The training assumes familiarity with the basics of critical path method planning.

A PDF of the Table of Contents is available for the two day Pertmaster training course, instructing users on how to work with Pertmaster, integrating it with all types of Primavera software.

SURETRAK AND P3 TRAINING COURSE PHILOSOPHY

The SureTrak training is delivered in two one day sessions and the P3 in two or three one day sessions (depending on the scope and level of detail of the course desired). The courses should be run with four to six students, with a maximum of eight. Up to twelve people can be trained in the one group, but individual attention is reduced and the full range of student capabilities is less satisfactorily covered. By the end of the first day the students will gain sufficient skills to create, status and print a project using SureTrak or P3 without resources or costs. The first day may be sufficient for casual users. At the end of the second day the student will gain skills necessary to understand the resources and costs features of SureTrak or P3. The third day of the P3 course covers the advanced features of P3 which are not available in SureTrak.

It is suggested that "Standard Project Templates and Scheduling Procedures" could be written to suit your company's method of working. These templates and procedures would be acknowledged in the course and the student exercises would be examples from your current projects. The course would therefore be more relevant to the students than standard software vendor exercises.
